We had a troubling conversation last night at the grocery store. An older couple, who struck me as a power couple from the entertainment industry, had approached us in the parking lot, drawn by my cuteness as is so often the case. They live in the hills, as it happens, and cautioned us to watch for coyotes. They have found coyotes in their back yard, and pointed out that a coyote could grab me and run off in an instant.
This reminds me of the warnings I have received from my friend Matthew, who is worried about not only coyotes but also other predators such as raccoons, hawks and owls.
I hate to live my life in fear of the crazies, but of course it is wise to be prudent.
